Dream-Catchers

Using dream-catchers may protect against nightmares, but remember, nightmares are a imperative call from your higher self also. Ignore them to get sleep if really tired, but you will have to face them sooner or later.

Many native American tribes have used them for sleep protection. Dream-catchers are usually a circular mandala-like creation made from hide or wood, and have woven patterns like spider webs filling the centre outwards to the rim. The philosophy is to have them hung over where you sleep to filter out disturbing dreams.

As a Native American legend is told, by hanging a Dream Catcher over your sleeping area, the bad dreams will be deterred by the bead in the web, while the presence of the feathers will attract and allow the good Dreams to pass through.

My idea is to accept whatever Dreams arrive, positive or negative, since all are a reflection of our own self in the moment. Bad Dreams or "nightmares" are a wake up call to get us to attention for important details of information.

Some of the more elaborate Dream-Catchers have crystals at the centre, as well as in other areas of the "web". It is a good idea to know what these crystals are exactly (contemporary manufacturers) and their properties. It is advisable to program the crystal to have a focussed Dream intent, rather than trust the original makers who may have only money in mind.
