DREAM CLASSIFICATION
|
Dreams can generally be broken into six groups.
1: Clearing house.
2: Teaching.
3: Problem Solving.
4: Precognitive.
5: Prophetic or Visionary.
6: Outside Interference.
Note: Prophetic or Visionary has scope and dimension into other genre such as "Out of Body Experiences", "Lucid Dreaming", "Remote Viewing" etc.
1: Clearing house.
These dreams clean out the input of the day, sorting through mental and emotional clutter and re-running experiences. Often the mind is still running a mile a minute when you first try to go to sleep, especially if worried anxious or stressed. These dreams begin the process of releasing useless concerns and integrating helpful ones, helping the body and mind relax. These dreams are less necessary if meditation and other releasing processes are used and you are centered before sleep.
2: Teaching.
You usually have one important teaching dream per night. This gives you information on problems you are facing or shows you higher teachings from advanced levels. You are prepared for what is going to happen during the next twenty four hours. Most dreams are concerned with what you are presently going through and how to best deal with situations and relationships. Discoveries and inspirations have come through from higher levels of these teaching dreams.
3: Problem Solving.
These are dreams you have programmed or asked for. You may be seeking insight on understanding a difficult relationship, solving a scientific mystery or asking for the plot of a new novel. All knowledge and information are available to you when you learn to tap it. Learning how to program dreams and understand their messages is one of your most valuable inner resources.
4: Precognitive.
This dream gives you a glimpse of the future and is different from the Deja Vu experience in that the precognition is usually involved with someone other than yourself. There is a special sense or feeling to the precognitive (foreknowing) dream, and on recognizing it you will know which images are symbolic and which may happen to be literal events. It is a psychic level phenomenon. This kind of dream can awaken people to the vast potential of their inner self and vastly expanded dimensions of their minds, hopefully stimulating development.
5: Prophetic or Visionary.
This dream comes from the highest level of the soul. It is a message from god or the god-self and concerns spiritual growth. It comes from the mystic level of awareness. It may have a personal message or contain a universal truth. The vision is on a much larger scale than you commonly associate with dreaming. It has a totally different quality of awareness about it in that you know that you are awake and aware yet also realize that you are in the dream state. There may be qualities of insight, understanding, expansion and realization of the oneness of all life, power and love. It transcends normal dreaming into states of Lucid Dreaming, Astral Travel, Out of Body Experiences also.
6: Outside Interference.
This dream is produced when something in your physical environment is causing enough disruption to get incorporated into a dream story. Too many bed-covers and you may dream of being too hot or the phone rings in your dream and wakes you up to the real phone ringing. With these influences there is no real message from the superconscious or higher self. Indigestion and a full bladder also affect dream images so there needs to be a awareness of these types of extraneous influences.
